The dream final that badminton fans won’t want to miss was took place on August 17, at the Beijing University of Technology. With World No. 2 Lee Chong Wei, Malaysia’s best shot at claiming the country’s first Olympic gold, is earlier expected to give Lin a run for his money.

But that’s only on paper that the match will be balanced, the truth is….  L

Men’s Singles World No. 1 Lin Dan of China thrashed Malaysia‘s World No. 2 Lee Chong-wei 21-12, 21-8 to win the gold in the Beijing Olympic Badminton tournament. During the game, Chong Wei could not answered to all Lin Dan stroke whether rallying, net play or drop shot play. It’s a misery to all Malaysian who has watched the final.
“Super Dan” Lin who has collected two world titles and 22 World Grand Prix titles prior to the Beijing Games. He had an early exit in the first round of the Athens Games and seeks redemption in Beijing. Lin Dan fought all the way to the finals without dropping a single game but Chong Wei dropped a set in Semi Final clashed.
Another four years waiting for Olympic Gold Medal quest for Malaysia… hopefully LONDON 2012 will give a gold that we have been waiting so long..
