When I read this article, there is one thing in my mind. (some) UMNO members do not have a confidence in Najib’s ability to lead Malaysia as mentioned by Zaid when he quoted that Najib couldn’t institute any crucial reform when Tun Mahathir is around.(see below story ; taken from Star Online).

Note : ‘Any’ means nothing can be done my friend…. marah Najib nanti sebab anggap dia macam boneka je selagi Tun M is around.

No reforms as long as Dr M is around, says Zaid

By SHAILA KOSHY

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will not be able to institute any crucial reform as Prime Minister as long as Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is around, claimed former de facto Law Minister Datuk Zaid Ibrahim.

“The 2004 election manifesto is history,” said Zaid who had been appointed minister specifically to work on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s promise to reform in stitutions of government, improve accountability and transparency, and strengthen the Rule of Law and independence of the Judiciary.

“Najib is smart and articulate but to change the course of Umno, he has to be brave and why would he take such a risk.

“Second, even if he wanted to, he would not be able to do it with Dr Mahathir around,” he said.

Asked whether that was because he thought Dr Mahathir was powerful or had a strong influence on Najib, Zaid – who resigned from the Cabinet recently after journalist Tan Hoon Cheng, Member of Parliament Teresa Kok and news portal editor Raja Petra Kamarudin were arrested under the Internal Security Act – said:

“He (Dr Mahathir) has a large group of friends, otherwise the Prime Minister (Abdullah) would not have been ‘thrown out’ just like he wanted.”

“Mahathirism was all control, control, control. He has a strong influence on the top Umno leaders who had to choose between doing his bidding or facing his wrath.

“So many in Umno are bound to the old, making it difficult to abandon old values and principles.

“Especially when if you allow for more democracy, you lose some control.

“I don’t see it (major reforms) happening but I hope that Najib will prove me wrong, for himself and for the country’s sake.”

On his recent comment that Najib has never talked of reforms, when asked why a deputy prime minister would need to do so when the agenda is set by the Prime Minister, he replied: “Yes, but after the Prime Minister talks, shouldn’t the deputy strengthen it with his own comments

Note : I didn’t notice that i have put this under jokes categories.. hahahahhahahahaaaaa

(I was there behind VVIP (as i was invited as VIP……………… hehehe) tried to shoot few peektures with PDA coz i left my DSLR in my car)

MESRA MALL shopping complex on  Friday opened its doors to shoppers in the Kerteh which was dubbed at Petroleum Hub in Peninsular Malaysia. The shopping center which was built on a sprawling 30 acres site, “Mesra Mall” promises to be a new landmark for shoppers and tourists coming to Terengganu. With Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd managing the operations, the complex is developed by KLCC (Holdings) Sdn Bhd through its two subsidiaries — Metro Kemasik Sdn Bhd and KLCC Projek Sdn Bhd.

For me who has the chance to see the early days of the development during Ground Breaking Ceremony till the Opening Ceremony, this is quite historical project which have involved great determination from the developer and KLCC parent company. ie PETRONAS. This Mesra Mall will serve the people around here and particularly PETRONAS Staff who currently spending their weekend in Kuantan. Mesra Mall floor area is 310,151 sq.ft and serves the people with its One-Stop Leasure, Shopping, Recreational concept.

The shop lot is almost full and its comprises of 40 retail outlets, 12 unit food stalls (in one food-court, 2 restaurant/cafe, 2 banks, and 2 push-cart stalls. The main or anchor tenant is Giant (Hypermarket) and Giant (Supermarket) but unfortunately during Opening Ceremony, its yet to be opened to public.

There are also Futsal Court, Cinema, Bowling Alley, Squash Court to be opened within a month ( as per KLCC CEO welcoming speech) and Mesra Mall also was built with approx. 800 pax Multi-Purpose hall. CEO of KLCC also added that this complex would serve as a catalyst for commercial development in Kemaman district and in Terengganu, adding that it had provided jobs for about 500 locals.

Eventhough with the recent development brought by PETRONAS in Kerteh, it is still Kerteh as we always know and by comparing with MIri which is also Petroleum Hub in Sarawak, then we realise that Kerteh is still far behind as Miri was declares as a CITY 2 or 3 years ago. But nevertherless MESRA MALL quite a blessing to PETRONAS Staff especially who has been transfered from KLCC which well known for it’s ‘Canggih-Manggih’ Suria KLCC.

But sincerely for me … nothing change except may be I have the chance to have a RM 8.00 burger as my lunch there at Burger King or my quite little time with my lady in future to be opened Mini Cinema.

Note — BTW, TQ KLCC and PETRONAS for this….

Yiiiiiihhhhaaaaaaaa (copycat of Brokeback Mountain)…..We gonna get new PM soon. (whether DS Anwar and Pakatan Rakyat ‘cakap serupa bikin’ or not……….)

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi will not defend his Umno presidency in the party polls next March, paving the way for his deputy Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

“I will not contest in the Umno elections,” he told reporters after a Barisan Nasional Supreme Council meeting at the Putra World Trade Centre here on Wednesday.

The reason ;  he doesn’t want to divide the party and government. But till then, he would “stay on as Prime Minister” till March.

The Impact of this : UMNO will get more trouble coz starting tomorrow and before 10th October, ambitious UMNO member(s) will make further statement/giving hint or clue which position they would like UMNO party member/division nominate them for upcoming March Election. I bet you this will be started by Senior Minister and ComebackMinister… hahahha

What??…. you are not believe me meehh ?… ok wait till tommorrow because the first person to give statement maybe Najib himself and maybe Ku Li or Muhyidin Yassin..
