Few websites had announced the England Squad Numbers. I think if you’re into the England Squad, you can judge the starting 11 by looking the squad numbers and the position of the players. For me, it’s nothing surprise except David James will be England No 1 as I am looking forward to see Hart in action.

So herewith the full squad numbers.:-

Goalkeepers: 1 D James, 12 R Green, 23 J Hart.

Defenders: 2 G Johnson, 3 A Cole, 5 R Ferdinand, 6 J Terry, 13 S Warnock, 15 M Upson, 18 J Carragher, 20 L King.

Midfielders: 4 S Gerrard, 7 A Lennon, 8 F Lampard, 11 J Cole, 14 G Barry, 16 J Milner, 17 S Wright-Phillips, 22 M Carrick.

Forwards: 9 P Crouch, 10 W Rooney, 19 J Defoe, 21 E Heskey.

Set my alarm clock just to see a group draw for next summer FIFA World Cup.

All the teams have a very fair draw and the opening match will be a good one between South Africa and Mexico. A tough match for the home team and if we talk about Group A, France also will have a difficult time with South Africa, Mexico and Uruguay are hardly to beat.

Group of Death- For me Group D and Group G but if you look at overall group draw, you can not pick two teams to go to the next round and it is means that we have a balanced draw this time.

Favourite Team this time – For sure it’s Brasil again and probably Spain with a very good track record in qualifying campaign.

Dark Horse – as usual, the Malaysian will go with England, Holland and Argentina as ‘standard’ teams to support but I’ll go to the usual suspect Germany and / or Italy and Ivory Coast. If you look down to first eleven of the Ivory Coast, you’ll see that their team is the one to watch in next summer and I’ll not suprise to see an African team to go very far as this tournament is gonna be in their soil next year. Just for your note –> No other team has won a WORLD CUP outside their continent except the superior Brazil Team.

Below is the full draw:- check it out

South Africa, Mexico, Uruguay, France

Since football is in my blood and partly running my system.. hahhaaa, I’ll do my best to cover all the important moment for next coming FIFA World Cup in next year. The kick-off for the event has been started yesterday with team’s seeding for group draw.

The football fever is back with next World Cup 2010 which will be held in Africa seeding has came out. This seed will segregate all team (32) into four pots and again will be drawn out to 8 groups. Popular England have been seeded for the World Cup finals along with South Africa, Brazil, Spain, Netherlands, Italy, Germany and Argentina, FIFA announced at a press conference in Cape Town.

France have unexpectedly been unseeded after FIFA decided to move away from their usual system of taking into account past performances at the finals. FIFA chose to base the seedings upon their October 2009 FIFA world rankings. That France have been placed into the general pot of European teams may be seen as punishment for their controversial win over Ireland in the World Cup play-offs.

Pots 2-4 are based purely on a geopgraphical basis and there is no seeding to them. This is to ensure there will be no more than one team from any one confederation, and no pot with more than two European nations (of which there will be five).

below is the seeding list :-

England

Beckham will skipper the national team for the first time since relinquishing the armband after the 2006 World Cup quarter-final exit to Portugal. Fabio Capello has name David Beckham as England captain for Sunday’s friendly with Trinidad & Tobago. Sunday will mark his 102nd appearance for the national team. But according to Skysport, there have been suggestions that the midfielder has been handed the captaincy for the game to boost England’s bid to host the 2018 World Cup.

England coach Fabio Capello has already used Steven Gerrard, Rio Ferdinand and John Terry as captains since he took charge the Three Lions. The captaincy of England will be rotated among the most influential player in the team. The coach doesn’t intend to name a permanent captain until England’s 2010 World Cup qualifiers in September against Andorra and Croatia, and Beckham remains one of the candidates.
