13 Sabah MPs will join Pakatan Rakyat if Anwar wins by-election

I don’t know if this statement by PKR vice president  will turn the tables to the DSAI camp or not. If is true, then all(PR) will be blessed with supports BUT if this just Pilihanraya Talk, then RAKYAT will get fed-up with the lousy statement and subsequently few other promises by PR camp will be looked just a ‘omong-omong kosong’ .

Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) vice-president Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan has claimed that 13 Sabah members of parliament will cross over to the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) if PKR advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim wins the Permatang Pauh by-election next Tuesday.

He also claimed that the 13 MPs had met with him and expressed their support for Anwar.

“We speak the truth. I am talking about the 13 MPs who will join Pakatan Rakyat after Anwar wins this (Permatang Pauh) by-election… they are just waiting (to crossover),” he told reporters after delivering a talk in Jalan Berapit here last night.

Jeffrey said two of the MPs were from the Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) and the rest from Umno.

The PR needs at least 30 more MPs to be able to form the federal government. Sabah has 24 Barisan Nasional (BN) MPs.

Anwar is involved in a three-corner fight for the Permatang Pauh seat, vacated on July 31 by his wife and PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail to enable Anwar become an MP. The BN has fielded Seberang Jaya state assemblyman Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah. The third candidate is Hanafi Mamat of Angkatan Keadilan Insan Malaysia (Akim).

SAPP duo to back Pakatan Rakyat’s notice of no-confidence motion

Is this the end of the political saga or we still have to wait in 2010 to happen?. For whatever reason, i still think that more important issue for now is to reduce the price of consumer items and for me if we have to change the government, let it be- pinjam kata-kata The Beatles.

The news nowdays are more towards the political stories.. and more people keen to close to political figures. Simple example was last night Majlis Penutup Tilawah Al-Quran Peringkat Kebangsaan at Kedah where more ‘pembesar negeri’ and ‘bapak-bapak exco’ or maybe ‘menteri besar’ came when Pak Lah officiated the event compard to last night closing ceremony by Sultan of Kedah.

In other words – NAMPAK SANGAT NAK BODEK atau berkepentingan politik dengan PAK LAH

KOTA KINABALU: The two Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) MPs will support Pakatan Rakyat’s notice of a motion of no-confidence against the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

In a joint statement e-mailed to the media, Sepanggar MP Datuk Eric Enchin Majimbun and Tawau MP Datuk Dr Chua Soon Bui said their action was in line with the party’s June 18 announcement that it had lost confidence in the Prime Minister.

“We reiterate SAPP’s loss of confidence in the Prime Minister and the need for urgent government measures to address issues on Sabah rights and current concerns (fuel and food prices hike) plaguing the state,” they said in the statement.

SAPP president Datuk Yong Teck Lee had said earlier this week that the party was putting on hold its intention to move the no-confidence motion on grounds of inflammatory and threatening statements from some government leaders.

Yong had said that the statements included veiled threats of bloodshed uttered in Parliament by the Kota Belud MP.

The prospect that two non-Malay MPs from SAPP were going to bring a Malay Prime Minister into disrepute was an excuse by those who uttered racist threats, he said.

Now that a motion of no-confidence is being proposed by a Malay MP, Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, the race factor was eased, the statement said without any reference to Abdullah’s announcement of a transition of power by mid-2010.

Today? Vote of Non-Confidence ?

Is there anyone couldn’t sleep last night?……  there’s must be something in his/her mind

ATAU Ini mungkin adalah gara-gara  SAPP tetap berkeras akan membuat usul tak percaya kepada PM pada hari ini.

Minggu lepas, Presiden Presiden Parti Maju Sabah (SAPP), Datuk Yong Teck Lee mengumumkan parti itu hilang kepercayaan kepada terhadap kepimpinan Perdana Menteri dan memberitahu akan menyokong usul tidak percaya terhadapnya. SAPP mempunyai dua ahli parlimen iaitu ahli Parlimen Tawau, Chua Soon Bui dan ahli parlimen Sepanggar, Datuk Eric Majimbun. Mereka mengesahkan akan bertindak mengikut arahan parti.

Walaupun Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz memberi jaminan tiada usul tidak percaya terhadap Abdullah pada persidangan yang bermula esok, namun ia tetap ditunggu dengan penuh debaran.

Undi tidak percaya paling akhir dalam sejarah malaysia berlaku di Kelantan di mana undi tidak percaya telah membawa kepada kejatuhan Datuk Mohamad Nasir sebagai Menteri Besar sehingga kerajaan Barisan Nasional berkuasa setahun kemudian.

Mesyuarat Kedua, Penggal Pertama, Parlimen Ke-12 (2008) Dewan Rakyat bersidang mulai hari ini sehingga 15 Julai depan, manakala Dewan Negara pula 15 Julai hingga 24 Julai 2008.

Perakuan Sumpah Raja Petra

Setelah negara dikecohkan dengan kenaikan harga minyak, masalah dalaman dalam Barisan Nasional akibat pengumuman yang telah dibuat SAPP ( dan juga ‘ece-ece’ yang telah dibuat Ku Li), Malaysia dikejutkan lagi dengan satu Perakuan Bersumpah Raja Petra atau statutory declaration yang telah dibuatnya di Mahkamah Tinggi Kuala Lumpur pada 18 Jun 2008.

Walau apapun kandungan dan juga taraf kesahihannya,  Raja Petra telah melakukan atau menunjukkan ‘keberanian’ tahap Gaban dengan pengakuan bersumpah tersebut kerana ia melibatkan kes altantuya yang kita gazetkan sebagai kes no 1 dan juga melibatkan VVVIP Malaysia.

SAPP’s vote of no confidence against PM / Usul tidak percaya terhadap PM

The STAR : KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) has lost confidence in Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, it said at a press conference here Wednesday.

In the coming sitting of the Parliament session on Monday, its two Members of Parliament will support a vote of no confidence against the Prime Minister, the party said.

Whether its MPs table the vote of no confidence, or whether other MPs will do it, would be determined in due course, it said in a statement.

SAPP’s two MPs are Datuk Eric Enchin Majimbun (P171 Sepanggar) and Datuk Dr Chua Soon Bui (P190 Tawau).

The party also has four state representatives.

The statement was read out by Dr Chua and signed by Majimbun, who was overseas on official duties. He will be back for the Parliament sitting next Monday, June 23.

The statement listed four areas of dissatisfaction with Abdullah’s premiership:

1) That no concrete action had been taken on the issue of illegal immigrants, despite repeated requests by SAPP and other Barisan component parties;

2) That the government had offered no holistic economic solutions to cushion the blow of the sudden hike in fuel prices, which had greatly burdened the people and threatened further hardcore poverty;

3) That not enough attention had been paid to issues raised by the people of Sabah — poor delivery systems, corruption, wastage, lack of transparency and accountability — and that SAPP would have failed in its duty as elected representatives if these issues continued to be ignored; and

4) That the people have lost confidence in Abdullah, and that if he can’t perform, he should step aside and make way for another leader to take over.

Talk had been rife Wednesday morning that SAPP was going to abandon the Barisan Nasional coalition and defect to the Pakatan Rakyat alliance.

The party is running a poll on its blog, asking members of the public whether it should stay on in Barisan, leave the coalition but remain independent, or join Pakatan.

At press time, there were 2,828 votes tallied, with 85% (2,411 votes) asking SAPP to join Pakatan. Only 2% (80 votes) urged it to stay on with Barisan, while the remainder suggested it quit Barisan but remained unaligned.
